Looking WSW. The upper portion is Chile, the lower part Argentina. Much of the Lake Crossing route is shown. Boat travel is light blue, bus travel is red. The lake at the upper right is Lago Llanquihue (sounds like "Yankee"), on which Puerto Varas is located. The 2nd (small) lake of the crossing at the west end of Lago Nahuel Huapi is iced over in this image.
