Pacific Electric Railway 1947-49
More West Los Angeles PE
freight operations at the intersection of Santa Monica and Sepulveda Blvds. This was
before freeways. Sepulveda Blvd was the forerunner of I-405 and Santa Monica Blvd was
the famous Highway 66.

of the locomotive. I revisited this area in 2003 and a Mobile service station is still there! It is
surrounded by high rise buildings. The tracks have been replaced by dense urban
development.
