Pacific Electric Railway 1947-49

Looking northerly. The Venice Short Line route went from Santa Monica southerly along a private right-of-way parallel with and a short distance from the beach. These wooden cars are going to Santa Monica.
I recall seeing more of these type of cars than Hollywood type cars on this line.

Note the smoke from an incinerator left of the shelter. In those days we burned our garbage.
